GLOBIS and SAP Japan Develop Joint Global Sales Talent Enhancement Program

Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo -- GLOBIS and SAP Japan have jointly developed a training program to equip SAP Japan's account executives with the skills and mindset necessary to compete on the global stage. The Global Talent Enhancement Program (GTEP) was launched in December, 2020, and has since empowered SAP Japan's account executives not only to improve themselves, but to support globalization of client companies, as well.

SAP Japan's vision is to "Make Japan's Prosperous Future a Reality". In line with that, the company is committed to helping domestic clients strengthen their international competitiveness and ultimately achieve true globalization through SAP Japan's solutions. More than just a sales talent enhancement program, GTEP also aims to enable SAP account executives to develop more capable human resources.

Understanding the changeable nature of global business, GLOBIS will together with SAP Japan continue to plan, design and implement the program, leveraging three decades of expertise in HR, leadership, and organizational development gleaned from over 3,800 partner companies.

Practical application is at the heart of all GLOBIS education initiatives. SAP Japan currently has 15 senior account executives enrolled in the 10-month GTEP program. These participants will be expected to apply what they learn to the accounts of major domestic clients, approach prospective clients, collaborate with SAP Japan's sales forces around the world who manage overseas subsidiaries.

GTEP participant progress is being monitored through KPIs which will dictate how the course organization and materials develop. In the meantime, the launch of GTEP marks the birth of an important HR asset for the future of SAP Japan, imbuing its sales force with a global mindset.
