GLOBIS University to Offer Pre-MBA Courses in Singapore Beginning Oct 2018
(Tokyo, Japan) In October 2018, GLOBIS University will offer its first Pre-MBA course in English outside Japan at its new Singapore Hub Campus, providing business professionals working in Singapore with the practical skills, quality, and entrepreneurial mindset for which GLOBIS is known. Students studying at the Singapore Hub Campus can obtain their MBA degree once they enroll in the GLOBIS University MBA program through a combination of live, interactive online courses and in-person courses in Tokyo.
The Singapore Hub Campus began offering Pre-MBA courses in Japanese in October 2017. GLOBIS will now offer Pre-MBA courses in English to accelerate the cultivation of business leaders active in Asia and on the global stage. To commemorate the opening of the English Pre-MBA course in Singapore, GLOBIS will host a special seminar featuring Yoshito Hori, President and Founder.

The first Pre-MBA course offered in English will be "Organizational Behavior and Leadership," with the same contents and format as the GLOBIS MBA program in Tokyo. Each course will span three months, with six class sessions held for three hours for a total of 18 hours of classroom time. Students can start with a single course through the Pre-MBA program and transfer earned credits towards the complete MBA program upon enrollment.
Students will consist of international business professionals working in Singapore, including Japanese expatriates who want to study in English. At the Singapore Hub Campus, students can enhance their professional network not just in class, but also by joining study sessions and networking events.
GLOBIS faculty member Kenya Yoshino will teach Organizational Behavior and Leadership. Mr. Yoshino states that the subject is "one of the most important courses GLOBIS offers for nurturing leaders." He is excited to meet diverse people from throughout Asia who will exercise their leadership skills, using Singapore as "hub" base.

Mr. Yoshino has worked for the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and was involved with grant aid projects in the healthcare sector and collaborative projects with international organizations. He then moved to a human resource consulting firm, being engaged in the human resource assessment projects. At GLOBIS, Mr. Yoshino teaches in both the English and Japanese MBA programs and also conducts corporate training courses for our corporate clients. He is also currently the head of Career, Alumni Relations and Events Office of the MBA Program. He will be heading the Singapore Hub Campus in October.
