The governor of Tokyo, Yuriko Koike, attended the awards ceremony.

Other recipients in the "Promoting Active Participation" category were Procter and Gamble Japan, with the "Grand Prix" award, and Toyota Motors, with special mention. GLOBIS was in between, as the Grand Prix Runner-up.

In the Overall Ranking (300-1000 employees), GLOBIS placed fourth.

For many years, GLOBIS has had the managerial policy of accepting anyone who possesses ability and ambition, and is willing to put them to use. It is not about simply being kind to women, but rather facilitating an environment where talented employees have the opportunity to fully put their abilities to use, regardless of gender. This has contributed to the many women becoming key players in heading projects and playing active roles as leaders of the company. We at GLOBIS hope to continue to provide a stage on which a diversity of people and talents can shine."

About The Japan Women Awards 2016
The Japan Women Awards 2016 is the largest award for women in Japan, chosen by 1000 women and 1000 companies (executives and HR managers). It was organized by Forbes Japan, with the cooperation of LiB, Inc.
